The Autism Awareness in Action Campaign is about more than contests, prizes and sponsors – but they are still fun to win!
With each of the coming Social Media Events linked to the Autism Awareness in Action Campaign you will have the opportunity to win prizes and pledge to take action.
Action can mean many things – and throughout this month we’ll be highlighting different ways other folks are acting and creating a real difference, in the autism community, for families affected by autism, and for adults and teens trying to deal with their own diagnoses.
I want to highlight what you can win by entering the Facebook Contest, and tell you, again, that beyond the prizes, we’d love to have this campaign jumpstart the discussion about Autism Awareness “IN ACTION.”
(do us a favor too, would you? Make sure to visit these amazing sponsors, look at the great prizes they will be donating, and make sure to thank them with a tweet or shout out on Facebook or Google+)
And remember, entering the Facebook Contest is JUST the beginning! Over the next month you will also have the chance to enter other contests, join the discussion, and be a part of a new kind of awareness campaign!

Last but not least, I will be donating some graphics as prizes too! I create custom graphics as part of my online business, and am donating a social media branded image of your choice … so a Twitter background or new profile picture, a Facebook Timeline cover or a Google+ Cover … any social media design I’ll do for you (I’ll be releasing some Autism Awareness in Action branded social media designs next week as part of the campaign as well!)
I’m offering five of these social media graphics for five lucky winners and there are just a couple limitations listed in the official Terms of Service (Kat’s Media & More -me!-will not provide illegal, pornographic, or other questionable graphics. If your requested design is not acceptable, you have the choice to choice a different design, otherwise your prize will be forfeited).
The Facebook contest had a late start because of some development issues, but will run until June 4, 2012. Please read the TOS for all applicable rules and regulations.
Remember, if you would – the Autism Awareness in Action campaign is about going beyond traditional awareness drives, and this contest is the first event of the monthlong campaign to work towards ACTION. I sure hope you’ll stay along for the ride!

I think the awareness like this on popular medias is definitely going to create more awareness about autism. It really makes me feel happy to know and understand that it will reach the remote corners of the world!
