Purple day is an Epilepsy Awareness event to help promote awareness and understanding of Epilepsy. March 26th marks the official Purple Day (see purpleday.com).
To help other bloggers, brands, and businesses support Epilepsy Awareness and Purple Day, I’ve put together a set of three different buttons that you can place on your site, or on other social media networks. Of course I would love a backlink and/or credit, but I feel it’s more important to spread the word.
While Purple Day is on March 26, those of us dealing with Epilepsy deal with seizures, their after-effects, and medication side-effects every single day. I’ve written on this often here at the Cafe … this thought that it just takes one person, one action at a time to make a difference. And we are not limited by one day of awareness, but we can be blessed by the greater understanding it helps others gain.
Expect several posts in the coming days as I ramp up my Epilepsy Awareness efforts both here at the Cafe and on social media sites, including Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, and Google+.
I would like to encourage you to stay tuned as I release a Linky post soon, and I hope you will link any of your own Epilepsy Awareness posts or Purple Day coverage.
Feel free to pop on over to Pinterest, now, and follow the Epilepsy Awareness, Purple Day & More Board. I’m sending invitations to anyone who wants to join that board, since I set it up as a Community Board … so leave a comment on any of the Pins on that board and I will happily add you to the board’s Community! Otherwise take the opportunity to follow and spread the Purple!
If Epilepsy has touched your life, leave me a comment to tell me about it. If you want to help spread the word, stay tuned as the Cafe goes Purple for Epilepsy Awareness and join in to tweet, like, share, and +1 the posts, other posts you find, and the Pinterest boards and Pins as well.
Remember that Epilepsy Awareness–as much as we strive to make Purple Day a big awareness campaign–isn’t something that we deal with one day a year in my house and millions of other houses across the country, it’s our lives.

Great graphics Kat! Thanks for doing these!

Thanks, Kat! These are great logos!
Aw, glad you like it Erica!
this has touched my life more than ever. Christopher has been having terrible seizures but thankfully this past week an increase in the new drug ONFI along with adding back Lamictal has helped.

That’s great news Michelle! On the heels of this post Logan came home from school today after having several small breakthrough seizures. We’re still hoping for the best, though. Give your Christopher a {hug} from me!
