Home » Give Christmas to a Special Needs Family with #GivingChristmas
There are two part of the #GivingChristmas campaign that are on your shoulders – yep – I’m giving the audience homework so we can work together to help a special needs family this Christmas!
So here’s the deal!
I have a great Gift Guide lined up with phenomenal items also donated for giveaways – Many of the items in our Special Needs Family Gift Guide will also be separately reviewed, with a giveaway! But as I stated in my previous post about the Giving Christmas campaign, we have another giveaway, one that’s even more important.
Right now, there are families out there struggling to put food on the table, trying to balance therapy and equipment with food and medicine expenses. Christmas presents for the whole family are distant considerations when you have more important concerns. So I’m opening up nominations for a Special Needs Family Christmas Giveaway!
Do you know a family who has a child with special needs who needs extra help this Christmas? Nominate them! Drop me a note in the “Contact Me” form on my Contact Me page and tell me about the family and why they should be nominated. I’ll need contact information and a verification address, phone number and reference person (anyone from their community – a caseworker or member of the clergy).
Several items have been donated specifically so that a family in need can also be helped this year – BUT we would love to be able to help more than one family – if it’s been a phenomenal year I would love for you to consider gifting a family in need – be willing to ship a toy or other gift (you can ship it direct via Amazon, or send me Amazon gift card information and I’ll do it for you), send money, other gifts, gift cards for groceries and other necessities.
We’re working fast to help a family for Christmas if we can – but we know some items won’t make it to them until after Christmas – we only ask you to follow through on whatever you pledge.
I know it’s been a rough year for most of us – it’ll be a carefully awesome Christmas this year for the Moodys as well – but part of GIVING is being able to give what we can so that others can feel the love of this holiday as well.
Right now, think about what you can give – pledge to give *something* in the comments below – and use the Contact Me form to share details with me if you would like – I’ll officially ask for donations in an upcoming post, though, so you can hold on.
I know of a few families right now, multiple health problems and children with special needs means this Christmas will be difficult for these families – we’ll be trying to help them ourselves if we can.
Nominate a family you know – give us some general notes in a comment below! Use the Contact Me form to give me more details and to give me the information I need to verify the family should they be named our recipient.
Use the sharing buttons to SPREAD THE WORD on your social networks! This is SO important and time is of the essence – spread the word!
Come back for our Guide and Ten Days of Christmas (scrunched a little this year because of my bout with the nasty flu bug from he**) and support our efforts to make the Giving Christmas a great campaign for folks to give, receive and WIN! Help us help a special needs family and help yourself as well!
