Giving Christmas Begins! But what the Heck is it?
Giving Christmas Starts at the Cafe Today! What’s Involved?
I’m waiting on a few last-minute sponsors in the Gift Guide to finalize details but plan to have that live later today or first thing tomorrow for Giving Christmas here at the Cafe. But an amazing Gift Guide is NOT the only part of this campaign!
What’s Next with Giving Christmas?
Well, now it’s time for the Giving part to kick in! We have some amazing folks highlighted in the great Gift Guide for Special Needs Families – with more items for the family rather than the toys (you can find great toys anywhere – we wanted something unique!) – and you can give these great companies AND the Cafe a great boost by SHARING the campaign posts, gift ideas for family and friends, and the rest of the campaign information.
With each post for Giving Christmas, beginning today, we will be sharing a Giving Widget from Chip In – this will help us track funds raised for what we hope will be a SPECTACULAR Christmas for at least one special needs family. We’re not asking for the world – whatever you can afford – from $1 to $100 (we can dream!). These funds are for our nominated families in the Giving Christmas campaign.
Beginning today, I’ll accept nominations for the Special Needs Family Gift of Christmas (watch for the special page here at the Cafe – I’ll add the link a bit later today!). While all the regular giveaways at the Cafe are just that – giveaways that anyone can win, these nominations are so that a deserving family can receive the collection of gifts our gift guide participants have given us for just this purpose.
Our hope? That we’ll receive more donations and be able to help more families!
What Comes Next for Giving Christmas?
We will be publishing the Gift Guide as soon as the participants and potential sponsors all get back to us, hopefully no later than early tomorrow, but we will start announcing highlighted products later today with a combination of reviews and giveaways!
Later today we’ll also have the official Giving Christmas at the Cafe page LIVE so you can see all the current posts (and upcoming giveaways!), the Giving Widget, and the nominations for special needs families to receive our Giving Christmas prize.
The official Giving Widget will be launched later today as well so there are lots of ways for you to be a part of the Cafe’s Christmas celebration!
