The Autism Awareness in Action Campaign Page is live and the Campaign is officially set to start just after midnight on Saturday, May 5, 2012. Have you pledged to ACT yet?
Bloggers, parents, anyone with autism or who loves someone with autism, anyone who wants to be a part of an important shift in the Awareness movement, is invited to be a part of this campaign.
How?
I was hoping you would ask!
First, grab your own graphic from the complimentary set on the Campaign Resources Page. Use the included HTML code if you need help, or download the zipped file of graphics and upload them yourself. Just do me a big favor and link to the main Autism Awareness in Action Page for me, would you?
Stick around and check back often for new posts for the campaign, including a schedule of events and an introduction to some of the amazing sponsors we have involved with this campaign. They are phenomenal and I am so grateful they care about moving forward with awareness as much as we do here at the Cafe! Make sure to support them if you are able to as well – visit their sites, say thanks on their Facebook pages or even send them a friendly tweet! Their information will all be in the Sponsors’ Introduction Post!
I’ll be sharing on Facebook, Google+, and Twitter, and will have new posts at the Cafe as well — feel free to share them as far and wide as you can to spread the word!
If you are a blogger and interested in taking part in this campaign, including being involved with the associated Twitter Party, Pinterest Pin it to Win it Campaigns, and Google+ Hangout, not to mention the Facebook contest … make sure you drop me a line in my initial Autism Awareness in Action post to share your interest with me! You can use any of the resources on the Resource Page and any of my posts as inspiration for your own, just make sure to connect with me first and link back to the Cafe!
Are you ready? The Autism Awareness in Action Campaign is almost here! How will you participate? Leave me a comment with your pledge, whether it is sharing the post, using one of the buttons from the resource page, or blogging about the Campaign – I’d love to hear from you!
Nice to see people who care about the problems what many people have. Autism can be really scary for the parents, but today, many actions are prepared to get a liveable life to these childrens, I think it’s a great thing.
Glad that you like the campaign, Chris. You are right – it can be so scary for parents but there is a lot of help out there. The problem is that resources quickly become stretched thin, becoming nonexistent sometimes. Challenges like this can shine a light on the real world of autism, and hopefully help us find ways to create actionable change in the autism community. Thanks so much for stopping by and I sure hope you come back by to take part in the conversation to come!
Hi Kat,
Can I do a post about the “Walk for Autism Now” and my autism t-shirts? I’m getting ready to copy and paste your button to my blog because I’ve been missing post updates. Have a great Sunday.
