Are you hoping to find more folks to connect with? More friends? More reading?
The choice is up to you! For the Special Needs Blog Hop – Take 2 – I want to offer you a blog hop that’s part of a new tradition. A tradition steeped in making connections.
We’re going to change it up for this hopping adventure…
To sign up for this and future blog hops you will need to make a choice and do the following:
- Sign up for the linky below (that part’s easy, and don’t forget your own thumbnail image!)
- leave a comment with (here it is) your choice of one of the following (you get brownie points for both!):
- Your Twitter handle (preference here!)
- Your Facebook Blog page or personal link.
Here’s why the Special Needs Blog Hop matters to me:
Here at the Cafe, I am all about making connections. And making connections goes far beyond writing a post, reading a post, or hopping along the continuum to all the other special needs blogs. It’s about being there for each other, being there *with* each other.
Of course I want more than that. I want to meet you all! I want to learn more about what makes you all tick. And if that doesn’t scare you enough, I want you to be around at the Cafe grows.
Oh.
Didn’t I tell you?
Yep.
There are two new areas of the Cafe I will be unveiling, one within the next 2 weeks and the other within the next 2 months. I need help with both of these new endeavors. One of these is a secret *shhhh* but I can tell you about the other one.
Within the next 2 weeks, I plan to open up the Writing and Blogging section and Open Mic night here at the Cafe; I’m calling it the Literary Corner.
Stay tuned for more details about this very exciting new section of the Cafe. But know that you will have a chance to provide valuable input and even content for this section to help get it off the ground.
Why a writing and blogging section? Because while I am a special needs mother – I am also a writer, and an editor, and a dreamer. (it even says so in many of my taglines across the web!). My life isn’t just about special needs advocacy and awareness. And yours isn’t either. In fact, if you are a blogger (you’re going to join the hop, right?) then I think you will glean a lot of great knowledge from this new section of the site.

Back to the Special Needs Blog Hop
Are you ready for this week’s challenge? It’s a blitz to the finish line, guys! And the prize is one for us all! As we visit each others’ blogs over the weekend, I want to challenge you to do the following:
- Comment! Don’t just visit a page, find a post that speaks to you and comment on it!
- Tweet or share it. +1 it. Find some way to share it along the special needs community.
Why?
We don’t raise awareness or make connections by being passive, guys. We have to take the reigns and support each other, promote each other, encourage each other. So, sign up for the blog hop this week, and be prepared for yet one more change to the Hop next week.

I’ll be posting the new hop each Wednesday from now on, giving us two days to sign up and spread the word about it, and then two more days to make a difference for each other. And starting next week, each blog signed up for three weeks in a row will earn a permanent spot on the Blog Hop wall of fame. Oh, and I will pick one of you great folks to profile each week. So you see, there are lots of reasons to be involved, right?

Home schooling is such an awesome experience and additionally can easily help bring you closer with all your small children, appreciate it friend so much for writing your situation, it may help to pass on the message so extra individuals and their families will be able to become much closer!
