Special Needs Blog Hop – Theme “Who am I”

It’s a New Special Needs Blog Hop – With a Twist!

A Theme! “Who am I?”

Special Needs Blog Hop

We’re all special needs parents, that isn’t going to change. But somehow in the interest of living, and surviving, our crazy lives, I think maybe we sometimes forget who we are, what we dream of, what makes us tick.

For this week’s Special Needs Blog Hop, the first since the Cafe was redesigned, a recent post has reminded me that maybe the Hop this week should help us connect beyond that which makes us similar. Instead, I am challenging this week’s participants to do something many haven’t done for a long time – write about themselves.

Answer the question: “Who am I” and you can include a link to that post here or on the Kat’s Cafe Facebook Page, or by sending it to me on Twitter. I’ll be re-tweeting all the Blog Hop entries over the weekend and into early next week. Though I just answered this question in my recent post–Who Am I? More Than A Wife. More than a Mom.– I will be taking the plunge as well.

A Special Page for a Special Needs Hop

I’d also like to introduce the dedicated Special Needs Blog Hop pagehttp://katscafe.org/snbh/ From now on, the new linky tool will be hosted on that page and that page alone each week. Bookmark it. Love it. Tweet it. Share it. Make me proud! I’ll be including 2 running streams of links to other blogs in the sidebar starting tomorrow (later today). One will be the new award winners I’ll be naming for the Versatile Blogger Award (posting tomorrow!), but the other – will be all you guys, the newest entrants into the Blog Hop!

I would love to hear ideas for future themes of the Blog Hop. While we’re special needs parents, that isn’t all we are – would you like to have themes unrelated to special needs? Comment and share your thoughts, and then don’t forget, go and enter the linky!

this is very nice :-) It reminds me of what I'm doing over at Special Mom Space: Toot Your Own Horn Day. It's telling who "I am" beyond being a special need mommy….for anyone that wants to toot!

I think the more of us making a point to show that we are more than special needs parents, the better! It takes us all!

  2. Katrina, what a good idea! I'm impressed with the innovative use of your blog you keep coming up with. Please note that you do not yet have KeywordLuv but yet I'm able to put my Keyword Phrase in. It worked the same way on Norma's website tonight. I think I mentioned to you that many do. Just be sure to copy your comment before you hit submit.

Pop into Inside The Media Mix tomorrow morning for Saturday SEO. Some of it will be very familiar to you and Norma in particular. I've had to change my game plan and want to get this "Yarby Sig" set in folks minds. Atleast the folks who are interested in what it will do for their SEO efforts and blog traffic.

Have a great evening and thanks for all you do .. and all you are!

I can't wait to join you over there tomorrow Linda! I think it's neat that the Keyword juice is flowing even though it's not an official part of the COmmentLuv plugin yet (I believe it's part of their premium feature package they plan to release!). I'll look forward to popping into the Media Mix tomorrow – I love your SEO Series! Wanted to talk with you about something when you have a moment too. Catch you on FB chat soon!
