April Was National Autism Awareness Month After All

Here’s the thing … for all the great images, moving stories, and fundraising done throughout April, in what ways did Autism Awareness actually move forward any true awareness of Autism?

For all the warm and fuzzy moments, what action was taken to make a difference for families living with autism and those living with their diagnosis of it? How were specific families or individuals helped?

Don’t you think it’s time to move beyond the platitudes of Autism Awareness and into Autism Awareness in Action?
